    Corbin Cornwell

Corbin Cornwell's entrepreneurial spirit and love for the great outdoors were the springboard for creating Big Tex Boat Rentals. As the mastermind behind this venture, he manages every facet of the operation, from everyday tasks to outlining strategic blueprints for the future. Located in the bustling heart of Austin, Texas, Big Tex Boat Rentals provides various high-end boating services on the renowned waters of Lake Travis and Lake Austin. The company caters to many clients with offerings ranging from manned boat rentals, including pontoons, wake boats, and yachts, to custom event services catering to tourists, water sports enthusiasts, family gatherings, parties, and more. In his role, he aims to deliver unparalleled services blending adventure, relaxation, and memorable experiences on the water.

The trajectory of hiss career portrays an intriguing fusion of finance and entrepreneurship. His professional expedition first took root at the esteemed United Bank of Switzerland, where he interned at Texas State University. Inspired by his father's career as a financial advisor, he aimed to create a robust base in the finance sector. However, the global pandemic, Covid-19, introduced an unforeseen shift in his journey. A universal hiring freeze in the finance industry nudged him to redirect his focus toward the world of entrepreneurship.

Utilizing the skills inherited from his father - including boating and various water sports - and his university-acquired business know-how, he, along with his father and two younger brothers, launched Big Tex Boat Rentals. Transforming challenges into opportunities, they nurtured this start-up into a thriving business, preparing for its fourth summer season.

His educational journey began at St. Anne's and Monsignor Kelly Catholic High Schools, private Catholic establishments in Beaumont. His formative years were rich with diverse activities, sports, and community engagement, laying the groundwork for a holistic personality.

Later, he chose Texas State University for his higher education, where he pursued his interests in finance and management. He graduated with dual degrees and enriched his academic tenure through active participation in the university's student government and the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity.

Besides academics and business ventures, his life intertwines deeply with community service and philanthropic endeavors. His philanthropic efforts range from volunteering and fundraising for various charitable organizations to significant contributions to Mobile Loaves & Fishes.

his personal life is as dynamic as his professional and academic journey. His enthusiasm for music and outdoor activities traces back to his childhood. Influenced by his father, an ardent outdoorsman, he honed his skills in water sports on the family's private ski lake, "The Blue Mile," in Beaumont. As a fitness enthusiast, he pursues outdoor activities like duck hunting, fishing, and dirt biking, adhering to a robust fitness regimen initiated at 13.

Music has also significantly influenced his life, guiding him from guitar lessons to DJing at local bars during college and eventually co-founding Lunar Events in Austin, Texas. Cornwell's life and career demonstrate his resilience, passion, and adaptability. From his early accomplishments as an Eagle Scout and recipient of the Pope Pius Award to his current success as a thriving boat rental business owner, Corbin's journey continues to inspire, embodying the adventurous Texan spirit that has groomed him.
