His career started at the well-respected United Bank of Switzerland, where he interned during his studies at Texas State University. Intent to follow his father's path as a financial advisor, Corbin honed his knowledge and skills in the finance sector. However, the global Covid-19 pandemic presented an unexpected challenge. The industry-wide hiring freeze in the financial industry compelled him to redirect his focus toward entrepreneurship.

     

    Drawing on the skills imparted by his father, such as boating and water sports, and business knowledge gleaned from his university studies, he, along with his father and brothers, launched Big Tex Boat Rentals. By turning adversity into an opportunity, they built this venture into a successful enterprise, celebrating three prosperous years and preparing for their fourth summer season.

     

    Educational Journey

     

    Cornwell's academic route began at St. Anne's and Monsignor Kelly Catholic High Schools, private Catholic institutions in Beaumont. His formative years were filled with various activities, sports, and community engagement, fostering his comprehensive development.

     

    Subsequently, he enrolled at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, to further his academic pursuits in finance and management. He completed dual degrees in Finance and Management, complemented by a minor in Economics. His university experience was enhanced by his active role in the student government as a Texas State Senator and his participation in the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, where he held several executive positions.

     

    Community Engagement

     

    Beyond his academic endeavors and business ventures, his life is closely intertwined with community service and philanthropic initiatives. He has volunteered and fundraised for various charitable organizations, including the Wounded Warrior Project and Bobcat Build, from 2014 to 2018.

     

    He played a notable role at Mobile Loaves & Fishes, where he assisted in fundraising for homeless people and constructing homes from 2015 to 2016. He also partook in community services like the San Marcos River Cleanup and Flood Relief from 2014 to 2018. he has significantly contributed to various community events, from teaching crafts at Westgate Memorial Baptist Church Vacation Bible School to volunteering at the American Homes Kid's Fishing Tournament.

     

    Personal Life and Hobbies

     

    His personal life is as dynamic as his professional and academic progression. His childhood was imbued with a deep love for music and outdoor activities. His adventure-loving father introduced him to water sports at an early age, which he further developed through frequent visits to the family's private ski lake property, "The Blue Mile," in Beaumont, known for its water skiing and barefooting activities.

     

    An ardent fitness enthusiast, he lives a healthy lifestyle, an ethos instilled by his health-conscious parents. He takes pleasure in duck hunting, fishing, and dirt biking. Established at 13, his fitness routine remains integral to his life, with regular gym visits from three to six days a week.

     

    Music also holds a pivotal place in his life. His enthusiasm for music evolved from taking guitar lessons to DJing at local bars during his college years. His entrepreneurial spirit found a new outlet when he co-founded Lunar Events in Austin, Texas, with his business associate Joe Kalla, creating a platform for local music events.
